Caitlyn works as the lead research assistant on a multi-institutional digital humanities project that documents and preserves the stories of NWC participants through biographies, oral histories, historical ephemera, demographic mapping, and interpretive essays.
Caitlyn wrote and produced an episode for the Public Historians at Work podcast that details the history of Third Ward, a historically Black Houston neighborhood, through the lens of the beloved Emancipation Park.
Caitlyn was part of a radio series project with the University of Houston Center for Public History and Houston Public Media where she researched the stories of pathbreaking alumni ahead of the UH centennial in 2027.
Caitlyn volunteers as an interviewer for a community oral history collaborative that records the history of people in the Gulf Coast region who were impacted by the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
Caitlyn interned with the City of Houston's Office of Preservation where she collected data on historic homes, districts, and landmarks to help create maps and inventories that are publicly accessible.
